you'll just have to take the Risk of me running a Monopoly on your emotions. there's only Uno way you're getting out of this Mouse Trap: by getting a Clue about my Jenga taking over your heart.

Letters from a Skeptic... I like Greg Boyd, so I looked it up and read the description. I am definitely going to get this. Sounds like exactly what I could use at the moment.

2. The Circle Trilogy (Ted Dekker)
3. A Wrinkle in Time (Madeleine L'Engle)

Boyd has some ideas i had never heard of that are very worthy of consideration.
also, a Series of Unfortunate Events should have been on my list. the writing style never ceases to amuse me.

Second this statement. ^This guy got me to play Catan and it was glorious. I almost won except I was outdone by the fact that I did not win.

Absolutely, that series is one of the few that I've continued to revisit again and again since I was 9. Absolutely wonderful. It made me feel a little depressed last time I read through it and it was suddenly over.

This. I absolutely loved it (although I found book 12 really odd and unlike 1-11 & 13. Like the writing style was different somehow) until the last sentence and then I was like

SPOILER!

What the crap. Seriously?! I thought this was going to have an unfortunate end! Not just... the end. THERE IS NO CLOSURE. WHY IS THERE NO CLOSURE!?! Happy ending, ah heck why not. Unfortunate ending, that was expected. BUT NO PROPER ENDING?! WHY OH WHY. Most unsatisfying experience.

Number 12 is one of my favorites, it tied everything together and cut off all loose ends. I don't know if enjoyed is the right word, but the way the line blurs between good and evil as the books carry on, with all the potential murder and whatnot that the Beaudilaires commit, but that whole idea really sticks out the most by the ending. I actually quite like the end. Definitely wasn't expecting Olaf to die, especially at the hands of the Beaudilaires. I wasn't expecting a horrible ending I think, but the ending it got felt good for what is allegedly a children's book.

well it's called the series of unfortunate events, so when the unfortunate events stop, so must the series.

also, Tim Curry performing the audiobooks adds another layer of awesomeness to the series.

also, i was very proud of myself when i was reading the Vile Village for the first time and figured out where the Quagmire children were hidden before the Baudelaires had collected all of the couplets.
