So my actual fears now are earwigs, octopus, and midgets. I'm retarded.

This made me laugh, not mocking you, just laughing at your reaction to your list of fears. I feel that way too sometimes, but I don't really have irrational fears... Except when people ask me how I am. I always turn into a crying mess...

You can laugh at it... it's pretty dumb! I can't even watch movies with midgets. Like, Game of Thrones, has a stupid midget as one of the lead roles. I want to watch it but I get so bothered when he gets on screen.
At least yours is emotional insecurities instead of just being a freak! :D

If it makes you feel any better, I'm afraid of chickens and that's pretty retarded too.

You're also afraid of phone calls.

Lettie wrote:I'm afraid of ladybirds.

Calling ladybugs ladybirds is so foreign to me. They aren't birds. They're bugs.

I'm not sure what I'm afraid of. I used to be afraid of going upside down. I would refuse to go on any ride that went upside down. However, I made myself get on this ride that is just a loop over and over. I now enjoy roller coasters with loops.

I was afraid to sing so I took singing lessons. Then I was still afraid so my roommate made me sing karaoke. I was terrible but I go through it. I'm afraid of cockroaches but I'm slowly working on that (or I might be transcending the situation, it remains to be seen). I've never seen a horror movie so I assume they scare me. The Blair Witch Project scared me and I didn't even see it. (But I feel that made it worse.) The screech owl scared me the first time I heard it. Then it just became irritating. Reading about the Holocaust scares me. Sometimes I leave the shade on my window up and I think about some crazy person just staring straight at me with no expression and then that scares me and I have to put the shade down. The thought of being raped scares me. I used to think I'd rather die than have that happen. Not being well liked scares me. Sometimes I lie in bed and I think about all the times I said or did something stupid and I get really self conscious. Sometimes I just get scared for no reason.

I changed my mind; I do know what scares me.

NSSC: I should go to bed instead of ramble on and on.

I used to be afraid of someone coming in through my window as I slept, it got so bad I couldn't even look out a window at night. I had to sleep facing away from windows, and when I woke I couldn't look at it. I'm over it now though, certain events in life make those kinds of things just disappear.

Mmhmm.
It's pretty much social interaction of any kind. Friend or otherwise. I'm mildly agoraphobic and have both social anxiety and panic disorders. Avoiding such situations is pretty common for me. Even online. I believe it's getting worse.

I leave the house maybe once a week on average, and it's never alone. I limit my social network posting to primarily sharing things, rarely speaking my own thoughts. I only use the phone if it is necessary, and at those times the conversations are very short. Even here I've been immediately deleting or editing posts, and that's after sitting for a few minutes and contemplating if I actually want to hit the submit button.

It's nothing personal. Ever. I promise.

omg yes. yes yes.
all the other kids would be scared of monsters and I was scared of getting raped or kidnapped. I still have issues with windows.
I still feel like I'll see a face looking at me.

I think that's more a random fact than a confession, unless you're an iguana.
