I agree, kind of. I've been listening to Dark Side a ton recently, and I'm starting to think it might be on par with Wish You Were Here. Dark Side certainly has a lot more emotional range and I like the lyrical content more.

"The Flower" gets the point across the nicely. Cool vid even if you don't agree with the message.

Without pot happiness is impossible, and playgrounds and hospitals will be razed to the ground!

I will admit the animation was rather nice.

it does get the point across, especially when it shows the bar near the end. it's totally ridiculous that it shows the "flower loving society" as a utopia.
And we go chop the cialis. Cialis had. Cialis grew the uk of creaking generic.

Yeah, I mean the part with the bar, and the cigarettes, and the part where the guy gets shot, those were all good points.

But really the rest of the video was so ridiculously biased.

Utopia = Not place/Nowhere (latin) [irony!]

Not impossible, it just added more to the society. And besides, what percentage of the world would you say is happy, drug free or not? But yeah, rampant bias to get a point across is nothing new.

We should legalize pot, but make it illegal to be a pothead.

That way, we could arrest potheads, and they would be like "but officer, I thought pot was legal?" and the officer will say "Yes, but being a pothead isn't". The pothead will say "That doesn't make sense", and the officer will respond "Maybe if you weren't a pothead, you'd understand".

its been a long time since Ive heard this bit, but i KNOW its from a comedian, is it Mitch Hedberg?

on another note, although i'm personally against pot. the fact i think is, that it really is the same as alcohol. and the problem with it being left illegal is the same as when prohibition was around, it doesn't mean people don't get it, it just means the sources they get it from are shadier. IE, pot is a MAJOR product for the Mexican drug cartels, and an america that didn't buy pot from them would A) stimulate our economy since it'd be heavily taxed like cigarettes and alcohol and B) deprive drug cartels of a major source of profit.

if you think smoking pot isn't something someone should do (which i agree with) you just have to teach your kids, other people, etc. about it, the same as what we've done with alcohol and smoking. but coming from SO CAL, i know a lot about the kind of crap the cartels do down in Mexico, and if legalizing pot both helps our economy and hurts cartels, i don't really see how you can be against it.

I'm not sure how I feel about legality and whatnot, but I think pot is absolutely absurd and I'd probably rather shoot myself than smoke it.

so does alcohol
cigarettes
gambling

but they're all legal.

and it can't be made legal due to a UN law. It could be decriminalized, meaning there would only be fines. Even Amsterdam is only decriminalized, although no one cares.

Just because it is legal it doesn't make it right. 1 Corinthians 10:23 " All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify."

That scripture isn't referring to the laws of government... if it was then it wouldn't be saying "all things are lawful". That wouldn't make any sense since according to gov't imposed not all things are lawful.

I'm pretty sure what that scripture is saying is that the grace of God and Christ's sacrifice covers all sin (making all things in a sense permissible, or lawful as Paul said), but that doesn't make it okay.
meh.

That verse is a good one.

Another translation has the word as "permissible". Meaning, some things may be okay to do, but that doesn't mean that it's good to do them or that God approves. Like, I'm sure smoking isn't a sin, but that doesn't mean it's really okay to smoke, and I'm sure God isn't exactly enthused about cigarettes.

That verse applies to a whole lot of crap we do because "it's not a sin so it's okay".

I didn't say they were right. Obviously I think we'd be better off if we all stopped gambling and getting loaded and spending all our money on drugs.

I am saying though, that it makes no sense that weed is illegal while these other things -mainly alcohol and certain other drugs (like salvia, wat?)- are legal.

I don't smoke weed but I (and medical science) would say it's for sure less dangerous than alcohol, and no more addictive than a lot of drugs you can get over the counter, or even drugs in food (like coffee).
