obligatory straight edge post.

jk

We'll see how Colorado does with this. If nothing else, it should be an excellent tax revenue source for the state. Regulate regulate regulate.

So, due to my current circumstances, I am sooo flipping glad it is not legalized (in Canada, from my perspective).
Like, it's essentially decriminalized. If you get caught with it in a small quantity it's not a huge huge deal (unless it's like... somewhere like school or something). But holy crap. I used to be a lot softer on the issue and think it wasn't a big deal, but if it was legalized, there would be no way to for landlords to issues sanctions on a tenant for having a marijuana grow-op. As it is, it can be very tricky for a landlord to kick out a bad tenant if they keep paying the rent. We're lucky that he's (my current weed-growing housemate who is also a disrespectful liar) actually growing the stuff or we wouldn't be able to get rid of him because you can't kick someone out for just smoking it.
Apparently grow-ops smell ridiculously bad (never been to one) once they get going, and it's next to impossible to get the smell out of the walls and make the place liveable again. The weird thing is, I've heard stories of people stumbling into grow-ops, so I don't know how to reconcile the two sides.

It's decriminalized in CA but honestly cops don't care.

It's a lot safer to have actual, professional dispensary to go to.

Honestly weed has made me a better person. Its a natural medicine and has cleared up a lot of stress, anxiety, migraines, teeth aches, nausea, and my sleep paralysis is now completely gone. I very much enjoy knowing I'm not relying on pills for those things (I have vicodin for my migraines and it is so scarry that doctors would rathe prescribe that than weed.)

I know that there are some growers working on creating a hybrid plant that offers the medical benefits without the typical high that pot gives people. I thought that was pretty cool.

Honestly I don't really care about this whole argument anymore. Some of my friends like to get high that's their choice and if they're responsible about it then I don't see the harm.
