ty

recorded two new ones last night. one's heavier than anything we've written so far, and one sounds like it's from the 70s. real laid back...they will be posted once the mixes are final.

I just got LSDJ and made a bitgrind demo instrumental. It will one day have vocals pertaining to the story of a young fish crow named Balloons. This track in particular is going to be a monologue by Raven about the selfishness of the creatures today and how he will no longer interfere with them (this will be important to the story). I'm still very new to the program, so it's still prety rough and there are no neat tricks (4/4..... :/)

I drummed to this. I had no clue what I was doing as I am very much not a metal drummer and had to translate this tune into single kick because I'm too talented to play double kick. Yup.

for not knowing what you were doing, that was really cool. the drum sounds you got were pretty solid.

On your butt.

Actually, I don't know. I didn't mix it. And the guy that did just threw it together so it's not that great. I'm supposed to be going back to his studio to rerecord it after actually knowing how the song goes.

if any of you guys are big into youtube, we just played a show with wheezy waiter's band: driftless pony club. pretty awesome stuff. unfortunately almost no one was there. don't you just love shows where you're playing to the other band(s) and maybe 4 other people? it was a good show nonetheless.

story of my life. though this happens with "big" bands too. i've been to roughly a dozen showbread shows, and about 4 of them were like this. and others had huge turnouts, and it's not like they were there for the other bands because showbread was headlining and the openers were bands like pillar lol. it's a strange, random phenomenon.

I forgot no one liked pillar.

When the showdown toured with them it sold out a lot and all of the fans were little weirdos. I still don't understand that tour.

When I saw that Showbread/Pillar tour, Showbread opened for Pillar. Either way, pretty small turn out, of course it wasn't in the city. It was way out in some podunk town a ways away from the city.

I still don't understand POD's Warriors 2 Tour. Maylene, The Chariot, Pillar, and POD. The lineup felt strange to me, but there was a good crowd.

That's a crazy weird line-up! I think I would have enjoyed that though!

The showbread and Maylene tour is the weirdest one I've seen.

Yeah, that's pretty weird. Like the only similarities is they are from the south. Haha!

I'm 100% broke for the next two weeks, but on my next pay I'll pick up your cd and that braille shirt, brother. I'll just get the 7" later on when it's ready. Do you like the printed or hand packaged one better?
