Power-pop act Mae had their van and trailer (containing all of their gear and merch) stolen from the Boston hotel that they were staying at last night.

Nah, I don't care if they are popular. The part where they sold out was when they were like, "No we swear, we're only sort of a Chrisitian band." and switched labels just so they wouldn't be called that anymore.

OK, now THAT makes more sense. But I don't think that's the only reason they switched. Plus Stephen Christian does amazing things with Faceless International. The more people Anberlin reaches, the more people find out about Faceless.

I just hear it a lot. As soon as a band gets kinda big, or signs a good deal where they make some good money, all of a sudden they've "sold out." I never understood it. Whenever someone in any other type of profession moves up and becomes successful it's a good thing. Whenever musicians do it they've sold out. I was just trying to get a better understanding of why people always say that. I mean, it's called the music business, not the music non-profit organization. It's not like they all have day jobs and the band is something they do on the side for fun.

idk. That's just my two cents worth.

I totally agree. I get mad at people that assume that if a band is popular they suck, or they aren't worth listening to anymore.
