The Hobbit, The Dark Knight Rises, Brave, This Is 40, and The Avengers are my most anticipated movies of the year.

This has been a post.

Add Django Unchained in there and that's an excellent list.

Brave looks ehhhh?! EHHHH?!? No. Brave looks like the best original Pixar film since Wall-E.

Ah yes, thank you. Don't know how I forgot that one.

Almost every movie is the best movie since Wall-E.

Are you suggesting Wall-E wasn't beautiful, haunting, and adorable?

I'm suggesting that every movie should be compared to Wall-E, because it's that good.

...you really have been gone a long time! I have a Wall-E tattoo.

So apparently it's going to be three separate movies. Anyone else want to explode with joy?

I DO.

I was a little bit worried at first, but then I actually thought about it and got excited. Then I read this brilliant essay and got even more excited.

I'm not really sure how I feel about the film being presented in three segments. Also not sure how much the film may be affected by the choice to film at 48 fps... But Peter Jackson is a mastermind and I'm sure he won't let down the franchise--especially since it's his baby.

I am currently reading The Hobbit to my son. Gives me an excuse to finish the dang thing. Pretty dang good so far.

On second thought, a lot of the novel is compressed to fit into one story... I'm 100% sure the film can fill three features.

i couldnt read it. I don't know why.

My roommate keeps yelling every time there is a commercial for it because apparently Galadrial isn't supposed to be in it.

That's silly. I'm sure there are plenty of ways that Peter Jackson will be alluding to the history of Middle Earth. He simply has to add depth to the story to fill three movies.
