Its not tht hard man, just do what your feeling... I have a lot about Velociraptors

And as I look up into the darkness,
I hear a distant voice pulling me down.
There seems to be a lingering sickness.
I can only hope for my friends in town.

I know why I do such desolate acts.
But it seems that I can’t help from falling.
I can’t suck it all up and face the facts.
Things seem to blur, I feel myself dying.

Thankfully I can rely on your grace
There’s no more use for this world but Your love
Through this darkness I don’t know your true face
When I get off course You give me a shove

You put me back in my place on your path.
I feel relieved of your love not your wrath.

I just had to make and "I am" poem in class.
I guess I'll post it.

I am hypocratic maturity and the utter denial that tears away the walls of sanity.
I want to know the truth yet I find it hard to believe in anything.
I keep defining my own reality; only to have the world present me with another one.
I create my own opinion, hiding it away, so that others don't shun me for being who I am.
I see each and every path open up for me, but I do not move.
I am hypocratic maturity and the utter denial that tears away the walls of sanity.

I pretend to believe so that I may numb myself to the outside world.
I find life hard to contemplate given the corcumstances in our current state.
I worry I might not ever find my way in the world after all.
I touch many souls end even help them, even though I can't save myself.
I make sure everyone else is content only to disappoint myself with what I've done.
I am hypocratic maturity and the utter denial that tears apart the walls of sanity.

I stay honest to myself with an army of opinions constantly changing.
I dream of a world that may one day know the truth.
I stray from my hypocratic oath to myself to never let other people affect me.
I coat the pain with selfishness so that I may block everything else out in my mind.
I counter my beliefs with unbridled emotions that lock me in the dark cage called denial.
I am hypocratic maturity and the utter denial that tears apart the walls of sanity.
"Candy is good."

This forum is silly.
I really love it, though.
Even though it has its flaws,
it makes my mind go, "Woah."

Here, take this crappy poem so that you, my dear thread, may have a chance to rise again.

POEM

she sits at the table
oh beautiful eyes
with a fork in her hand she smiles

i gather the coal
let's start a fire
oh beautiful flames rise higher

she sets down the fork
puts her hands on the table
the reflection of flames in her eyes

she picks up the meat
bites down with her teeth
the juices drip
oh beautiful lips
she wipes and she smiles
"put more coal on the fire
we haven't done anything wrong"

(chest) cavity

you're breaking through the window
cutting yourself in the process
you're crawling through the hallway
leaving a trail of your blood
you're reaching for the doorknob
trying to get inside the room
you're climbing up the side of my bed
but i am dead just like you

our bones are broken
rib cages cracked open
our hearts are exposed
jesus can heal us
we're not alone

what can wash away our sins?
nothing
nothing
nothing but Him

one of my favorite songs i've ever written

To The Dust I Shall Return

cocytus is reserved for me
my failures will be my demise
i wonder if You looked at me
You'd still see the soul inside me eyes
my heart was broken
and it never was quite right
it grew back twisted
and became black as night

i died when i was on the road
trying to reach the prize
i became an undead, twisted beast
but i never lost that love inside
whatever was left inside my chest
albeit damaged beyond repair
held something that i never lost
the love for You that kept me here

(chorus)

the earth is gone,
the moon has fallen
from the dust i was formed
to the dust i shall return

Messiah, Christ, please come my way
though i am but a beast
i've loved You all my wretched life
and even beyond when my soul's released
don't pass me by, please take my hand
and carry my tired body home
to where You make everything good

from the dust i was formed to the dust i shall return
I get up in the morning, divide by zero, howl at the moon and eat a bowl of surreal.

(insert blastbeat)

Here is a short poem I wrote a few years ago. Not that great, but kinda catchy!

"The World In My Head" by Matthew James

In my head is a world all its own;
Where the trees have died and the weeds have grown;
Where scattered about like vegetable veins
The ivy chokes the window panes.
The only birds found in my world there
Are loathsome creatures that breathe death like air.
The world in my head is all I've known;
Where stars have fallen and hopes have flown.
I travel my world far and wide;
Watching the decay of dreams that died.
The only water to quench me here
Are pools of stagnant lonely tears.
The only place here to lay my head
Is a charnel house filled with bones of the dead;
Where the skeletons dance under a dimming moon,
As the cold wind howls an empty tune.
"Our birth is nothing but our death begun. " - Edward Young

This is a song I wrote once....

"Promenade"
By Matthew James

Verse 1:
Sleeping awake at night bleeding tears of regret
Holding on so tight to memories I'd rather forget
The sweet caress of Sorrow's kiss, but I
Still can't make you leave from my head

Chorus:
In Life's promenade we're all just parading
In an open grave with vital signs fading
So many days spent just wasted and waiting
For something that we already had

Verse 2:
Breathing in this fog so cold, choking your eyes from view
Wishing to behold just a glimpse of something I once knew
The mercy of Death's harsh embrace, and I
Still can't make my head leave from you

Chorus:
In Life's promenade we're all just parading
In an open grave with vital signs fading
So many days spent just wasted and waiting
For something that we already had
"Our birth is nothing but our death begun. " - Edward Young
