I enjoyed the first movie, and I'm sure I'll enjoy the 2nd one as well whenever I finally get to see it, but I'm not a big fan of the adaptation of the hobbit. The book was much more of a fun and light-hearted journey, but they decided to make the movie much more like LotR, it's just not very true to the book. On top of that they added in a completely new story for no reason.

I still haven't read or seen those. Oops.

You missed out. Seriously. Harry Potter is still worth reading as an adult, but it's so much better when you're a kid and the same age as Harry.

I have been reading a lot of Fashion history lately. I won't bore you with it.

I think it's cool to read Harry Potter because then you realize it's a story of racial equality, but it's also fun to grow up with Harry.

I have never watched/read Harry Potter either, and I have absolutely no interest in doing so. Looks dumb.

I'm very slowly working my way through Russell Brand's Booky Wook. Really good read, I'm just really bad at sitting down and reading these days.

I'll admit that at a brief glance Harry Potter does seem dumb, and even that the first couple of books aren't much, and that all the crappy teenaged novels that rival it give it a bad reputation, but it's a lot better once you get passed all the face value fandom.

I know I will end up seeing it eventually because my girlfriend enjoys the series quite a bit, so I hope you are correct. I doubt reading the books will ever happen though.

Oh, I forgot I also got a book about the 27 club for Christmas that I still have to read too.

The movies are for the most part okay. Prisoner of askban is good and so are the last 3 movies, but goblet of fire absolutely sucks and is perhaps in my opinion the worst movie adaption of a book. Overall, the books are a lot better than the movies.

Goblet of Fire is why I stopped watching the movies, I didn't see of them after that until the last one came out and I was invited to go see it and I realized they were actually decent again.
