As opposed to what seems like every user on this thread, I love Vehement, musically and lyrically.
The album is my second favorite of Showbread's. The only song that I can't really stand is Shepard, No Sheep. Lyrically, it's fantastic, yet I don't like it musically.

I would probably like Shepherd No Sheep more if it didn't have that lame baritone guitar part after the choruses.
meh.

I'm pretty sure this qualifies as an excellent example of irony.

Haha no I like the choruses actually, and that specific guitar part doesn't bother me at all. It's the verses, they just feel off, like I'm listening to some 16-year-old's generic pop-punk band play with overused distortion. It just doesn't feel very "Showbread" to me, like it's out of place.

the great emasculation is my favorite. Lyrics are very true.

This is the only post-No Sir album that I don't have...I'm not sure why I skipped out on it. Probably strapped for cash...

remedy this immediately. even if the entire album sucked except for nothing matters anymore, it'd still be worth getting. good news though, it's second best after no sir. sometimes.

That's exactly what happened to me when I heard this record. It changed me from a Showbread teeny bopper to a fan to the point where I've never met another human being that likes/keeps up with Showbread more than I do.

Wow I wrote that forever ago. But it's still true. Still my favorite bread cd. I didn't go from "teeny bopper" to "sean" though, haha. Just from I enjoy seeing these guys tour with bands I like to actively seeking out showbread shows to attend for no one other than showbread.
