Is 2014 a terrible year for music?

Postby The_Fedora » Sun Jun 15, 2014 4:38 am

Just wanted to pose this question because 2014 is shaping up to be pretty mediocre.

For me I have the following
Rival Sons - Great Western Valkyrie
Demon Hunter- Extremist
Anberlin - Lowborn
My Epic - Behold
Everything In Slow Motion - Phoenix
Artifex Pereo - Time In Place - Actually ended up being pretty good

Even though some of these albums are fantastic, all of them with the exception of Anberlin has already come out.
It feels like a terrible second half.

What are some albums you're looking forward to this year?
Is it lacking

it's all good dude. i know this is super cliche but it's not the size of the boat, but the motion of the ocean.

I bought the new coldplay album. At first I was pretty excited, but it gets more boring with each listen. I'm also looking forward to the new foo fighters album. That's it for now. I probably only buy around 3 new albums a year anyway.

Watabou - Plasticity
Bubblegum Octopus - Critters
A Cellophane Jackal - Shaming Rites
Sidewalks and Skeletons - Future Ghosts
Wolfgun - Summer & Spring
Limbs Bin - Total Anguish

I know there's more, but those alone are worth the price of admission. Plus, new Evisorax album soon! :D
I get up in the morning, divide by zero, howl at the moon and eat a bowl of surreal.

I discovered Twenty One Pilots but that doesn't count because that album came out last year.

She's still whining about Spotify not giving her enough money.
